At the 6th annual Symposium on Reconciliation in America, scholars and community leaders will discuss the intersection of traditional and new media and the serious work of reconciliation across societal boundaries.  In the spirit of the late Professor John Hope Franklin's life work, the three day symposium will provide opportunities to explore how traditional and new media impact our understanding of ourselves and each other.

At a free and open to the public session at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Isabel Wilkerson will deliver a keynote address on "The Great Migration, the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot, and the Media: How the Media Helped Us Learn about Ourselves and Our Time."

Symposium events will take place at venues around Tulsa, OK, with the core events occurring at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Tulsa.
