47th Annual Wewoka Sorghum Festival

Event Details

Seminole Nation Historical Society hosts the free annual Wewoka Sorghum Day Festival.  Activities in and on the grounds of the Seminole Nation Museum highlight the history and culture of the Seminole and Muskogee (Creek) Nations in Indian Territory, as well as the pioneer environment.  Demonstrations of Native arts, crafts, music, sports, food, and language keep visitors coming back to learn more.  Pioneer life demonstrators include blacksmiths, textile artists, wood turners, soap making, flute making, and a trader's tent with handmade items and Story Tellers.
