Event Details
Oklahoma City University's 24th Annual Thatcher Hoffman Smith Poetry Series will feature Pulitzer Prize winning poet Jericho Brown. Brown has quickly risen to national stardom because of his witty readings, inspiring writing workshops, and his invention of a new poetic form known as "the duplex." His work will appeal to multiple audiences, including long-time poetry fans and members of the African American and LGBTQ communities. His latest book, The Tradition, has just been re-released in a special "civic dialogue edition" intended to "inspire deep and engaging community conversations... about what it means to be human" in a time of controversy and divisiveness.
