Event Details
Caddo historian and elder, Phil Cross, will give a lecture on his extensive research and book draft over disinheriting of Caddo land, homes, lifeways, and lives. Mr. Cross follows the paths of Caddo footsteps, 1790 to 1859, outlining relocations, battles, and key events highlighting the disinheriting of Caddo homelands. He shares historic accounts of land grant seizures, Indian Agents, local practices, court decisions, allotment, and treaties from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma areas.
