Change might be constant, but so is adaptation. Critical to our success as a species, our ability to adapt is about imagining and assessing possibilities and potential. We have no crystal ball. We cannot predict the future, but we can navigate nearly everything it holds. In this digital-only issue, we're exploring how Osage women imagined incorporating military coats into their wedding outfits; how a young man imagined combining a camera with a microscope; how some soldiers imagined camels as perfect pack animals for the Southwest; how a Persian couple imagined following music to a new life in Oklahoma; and how an attorney, educator, and advocate imagines the consequences of teaching a curated version of American history.

Authors and contributors include: Daniel C. Swan, Anita Fields, Vince Hawkins, Yasaman Seif, Hamed Erfani, and Hannibal B. Johnson.
