Take Action Toolkit | Save Oklahoma Humanities
Event Details
Oklahoma Humanities (OH), as well as the other 55 state, jurisdictional, and territorial, humanities councils, recently received notice that our general operating grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) have been terminated.
As the nonpartisan, nonprofit state affiliate of the NEH, OH shepherds more than $250,000 of that funding back into Oklahoma communities by awarding grants to museums, libraries, universities, historical societies, and more.
This funding is now at risk, but there are steps you can take to save it. Find answers to commonly asked questions about the situation here.
Donate to Oklahoma Humanities and help us unlock a $50,000 matching grant provided by the Mellon Foundation.
Email your senators and representatives using this tool and tell them you support humanities funding for Oklahoma. If you'd prefer to contact them directly, look them up based on your zip code.
