Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Manager the Administrative Assistant provides administrative, operation and clerical support to all programs and staff at Oklahoma Humanities.  The qualified individual must have organizational and multi-tasking capabilities, work with minimal supervision, and be a team player.

 

Administrative Assistant

Oklahoma Humanities is looking for a detailed-oriented administrative assistant with experience in office support and clerical work. This full-time (35 hours per week) salaried position provides administrative, operation and clerical support to all programs and staff at Oklahoma Humanities, an educational and cultural nonprofit. The administrative assistant is responsible for key support duties including proper filing and data entry, mail processing, office organization, and reception duties. This position directly reports to the Administrative Services Manager and ultimately to the Executive Director and works in close collaboration with staff members and board committees. This role is pivotal to the overall foundation and organization of the office and staff. Please note, this is an in-person, non-remote career opportunity. Applications are due by July 15, 2020.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Reception duties
  • Mail receipt and distribution
  • Clerical duties such as filing, coping, scanning, and typing
  • Database entry and records keeping
  • Meeting preparation and scheduling
  • Participate in Board of Trustees, staff and community meetings as required.
  • Other duties as required/assigned

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required and minimum of 3 years of administrative experience.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Donor Database system (Bloomerang) preferred.

Work Schedule & Benefits:

  • Anticipated Start Date: September 1, or sooner
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am -4:00 pm
  • Starting Salary Range: $32,000-$35,000 with opportunity for growth.
